Last week, at LAB bar in Soho,  Tapatio Tequila held a cocktail competition with l`elite` of the London Mixologist

Over 100 bartenders entered the comp, but only 20 have been choose for the London heat  It says a lot about the industry’s regard for Tapatio and Tequila in general that all 20 turned up with full of tools, equipments and of course a creative mood in order to raise the standard  incredibly high.

Most of the entrants put on a great show, others a very good drink,  but the judge panels was looking for a combinations of  skills, brand awareness industry knowledge.

Two of my favourite mixologist scored the highest results and Alex Kratena just edging out Rich Hunt from Hawksmoor Seven Dials.

Alex’s Winning Cocktail

Oye Mi Canto

• 30ml Tapatio Blanco infused with sweet tamarind
• 50ml Martini Rosato
• 1dash Mandarin Bitters
• 5ml Sinle Village Mezcal Chichicapa

Garnish: Apple Blossom and Jasmine Flower, Glass: Coupete, Method: Stir
