And if you enter its bars, lounges and private clubs, the city makes a quick case that it is the home of some great cocktails bar in the world, thanks to a small group of mixologist that in the last few years put this city centrally in the mixologist world.

Giuseppe Santamaria at Ohla Boutique Bar has establish this bar as one of the most innovative and knowledgeable cocktail lounge in the world. Friendly and gracious, Giuseppe uses his talents to charisma to spread his knowhow to the young generation in the Catalonia capital and his definitely the for front of the italian proud in the world.

Dry Martini is a longtime anchor at the heart of Barcelona’s cocktail scene, the sister bar to the next-door restaurant Speakeasy which only serves food. Xavier De Las Mueals creations are going from the world famous DRY MARTINI to different fruity martinis including mandarine and kumquat; lychee and cherry; and mint and chocolate. The style of Dry Martini is upperclass and almost feels like stepping back into time as it most definitely has a ’40s feel.

Boadas is other classic cocktail bar that must be seen if you are in Barcelona, where Maria Dolores and the family legacy has establish the most irresistible place in town. Classy and cosy, authentic and original don’t miss La Combination Media, a unique cocktail base on local gin, americ picon and sweet vermouth and dash of bitter.

If you lucky enough visit the Tickets cocktails & snacks at 41 grados, managed by the greatest Albert Adria’, it’s a lifetime experience.

THE Mutis is quite the experience, a rare one too and entirely a treat, Mutis stays true to the eras of speakeasys, but with an updated vibe. Essentially a converted apartment offering the finest in cocktails, Mutis won a spot on the list of the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2012.

At night we were lucky to visit the OCANA , where Mariano Garcia, Daniel Shober where mixing some of the finest cocktail in town. Stylish and unusual, this is the place where the bar industry meet after work and the vibe is simple exceptional.
