Japanese Cocktail Book

The publication of ‘Japanese Cocktails’ is being underwritten by the Japanese spirits company, Suntory: “We viewed the partnership as a great opportunity to raise awareness of Suntory’s spirit portfolio in the US. We hope to broaden America’s knowledge of this spirits category by supporting projects like Yuri Kato’s book”.

‘Japanese Cocktails’ will feature cocktails made from traditional Japanese ingredients and methods such as shichimi togarashi spice, umeboshi and kabosu juice.

Chapters are devoted to sake, shochu and Suntory whiskey which will include information about how to sip whiskey ‘mizuari’ (or Japanese style) by mixing whiskey, water and ice using a ‘13 and a half’ stir process.

In addition, ‘Japanese Cocktails’ will be used as an education tool for the Skyy spirits sales teams.

Books will be distributed to bartenders and at major trade events such as Tales of the Cocktail and Whiskyfest.
