ITALICUS founder steps down as CEO following the brand’s full acquisition by Pernod Ricard, turning his focus to his new brand, Savoia Vino Aperitivo.

London, August 2026 — Ten years after launching ITALICUS Rosolio di Bergamotto, founder Giuseppe Gallo has stepped down as CEO following the brand’s full acquisition by Pernod Ricard.

Founded in 2016, ITALICUS helped revive the historic Italian rosolio category through a contemporary approach to aperitivo culture. Over the past decade, the brand has sold more than 3 million bottles, expanded to 47 countries, achieved consistent double-digit growth, and established a strong presence in leading bars, restaurants and hotels worldwide.

ITALICUS has also received more than 50 international awards and gold medals, earning recognition for its distinctive flavour profile, design and modern interpretation of Italian heritage.
